As you await the aurora, enjoy a hot drink around a crackling fire.

After the tour, the night is still young, offering you ample time to continue your aurora hunt independently. Your guide will provide excellent tips for nearby viewing spots accessible by foot from your accommodation, ensuring these Northern Lights hunt doesn't end with the tour.

With some luck, you might even catch a glimpse of the local wildlife. Traveling in small groups of no more than 8 people ensures an intimate and exclusive experience. There will be opportunities for photos, and if you choose to share a snowmobile, you can switch drivers during the tour. Discover the thrill of ice climbing in Abisko, the ultimate destination for this bucket list activity. Your adventure begins with getting into the necessary equipment before heading to one of the climbing areas. At the icefall, you will receive an introduction to basic climbing techniques before ascending a frozen waterfall using top rope, ice axes, and crampons. Though ice climbing can be arm-intensive, it's accessible and enjoyable for everyone, with no prior experience needed. This adventurous climb takes you to a surreal environment, surrounded by frozen waterfalls in shades of blue and turquoise.

Enjoy this ever-popular activity; an ice fishing trip! Venture out on to the lake on snowmobiles then using an ice drill, you will create holes in the ice to fish for the legendary and delicious Arctic Char. If for any reason the lake hasn't frozen solid yet, you will go out by minibus to a nearby lake instead (however, this only usually applies to very early in the winter season.) A cosy fire will be set up for you to enjoy a hot beverage and fry your catch. Additionally, you can warm up in the wooden hut by the fire, enjoy this authentic and traditional artic experience.

A great way to start the day! Head out on a 2km hike and enjoy the stunning national park during arguably one of the prettiest times of the day. Head down an intricate trail, lead by your guide, and meander along the tranquil River Canyon, through ancient birch forests and look out on to the open River Delta flowing against the backdrop of snow-capped mountain peaks and frozen shoreline of Lake Tornetrask. Your guides will lead the way and come with extensive knowledge of local wildlife and plant life, and stories of the indigenous people that call this place home.

Enjoy the thrill of dog sledding along the beautiful arctic landscape and let the huskies do the work as they take you on a tour of magical Abisko. Take pictures and videos along the way and enjoy a break in the middle where you can relax with your canine companions. Afterwards, help your guide unharness the huskies and walk them back to their homes.

Drive your very own dog sled through the wilderness of surrounding majestic Abisko. Just you and the dogs out in the open air, taking in nature and leaving all your worries behind. Although this is a solo activity, there will be 2 guides at the front of the tour, and you will be briefed before the excursion on how to master the art of dog sledding.

A staple activity in Lapland, this snowshoe adventure will take you into the area surrounding Abisko. Along the way you will hopefully spot some of the local wildlife, by following their footprints engraved into the pristine snow. Local guides will accompany you offering the best chance of spotting wildlife and enjoying the snowshoe hike!

This exciting Aurora chase adventure begins at your hotel in Abisko. After gathering outside the hotel, your professional Aurora chasing guide will talk you through the activity ahead, and study the local weather and Aurora forecasts, to choose the best possible location for viewing the northern lights that evening.

During the evening, you may travel up to 90 kilometres to reach one of several spectacular spots with a high likelihood of success.

Please note, this activity doesn’t come with a camera, however, this can be rented for an additional cost, warm clothing is also not provided, however overalls and boots are.
