Using the mobility of a bus to your advantage, your guide will drive you further north to a location determined by the local weather and Aurora forecasts.

Along the way, you will stop and take photos at some scenic locations before travelling to the viewpoint.

Once you reach a prime Northern Lights viewpoint, you will enjoy warm drinks and snacks as you wait in anticipation of a show.

Travel into the Arctic night as you follow your guide up the snowy fell and to a brilliant location for Northern Lights searching.

Once at the top of the fell, you will warm by the fire and enjoy snacks and hot drinks. Keep an eye on the sky at all times, as the Auroras could start to dance at any moment.

On this journey, you will travel through wintery forests, powdery snowdrifts and admire the breathtaking scenery all around you. Your guide will stop in various places so that you can capture these amazing sights on camera and you will also enjoy hot drinks and a light lunch.

Husky sledding is one of the most popular Arctic activities and when you try your hand as a musher, you’ll soon see why.

When you first meet your team of sled dogs, chances are they will be excitable and barking, eager to get going. Rest assured, as soon as they take to the trail, they will quieten down so you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

You will usually travel two per sled (one driving and one as a passenger in the sled) 

Duration: Approximately 1 hour in total (5km or around 30-minute sled ride) including short transfers and briefing. 

For those who want a little more than a taster of husky sledding, this 10km track is a longer expedition so you can really settle into your role as a musher.

If 25 minutes isn’t enough, be sure to book this extended activity which gives you and your family the chance to feed the reindeer and practice throwing a lasso. After a short transfer to the Kopara Reindeer Farm, you’ll hear all about the Sámi people and the intriguing history of reindeer herding. 

The glittering forest then beckons you to enjoy a 1-hour reindeer sleigh ride (two to four people per sled) through its winding trails and unbeatable scenery before you indulge in a hearty and delicious lunch.

Cross-country skiing is a traditional and hugely popular activity in Lapland. You don’t need any previous skiing experience as your expert guide will teach you the basics. Then you will all head along the forest trail to see more of the winter landscape as you glide across the snow.

Duration: approximately 2 hours in total

Enjoy the peace and tranquillity the quiet woodland has to offer. Get up close to nature during this snowshoe hike through the shimmering forest to a nearby fell. Your guide will build a fire and prepare a hot drink whilst you can enjoy the spectacular landscape. Perhaps you will be fortunate to glimpse Siberian jay, a willow grouse, or a herd of reindeer roaming by. Next, your expert guide will teach you about the local wildlife and help you to drill a hole through the thick ice at the nearby lake. You’ll bait the hook and wait to see who can successfully catch the fish of the day.
