Lily Smith
Born in Amsterdam and raised in London, Lily’s journey has taken her across continents and cultures! Having lived in Spain and Bulgaria, she has explored Europe extensively; from dolphin watching on the Turkish border to thermal spas in Budapest! She has recently returned from a once-in-a-lifetime expedition to South Africa, witnessing majestic wildlife and local traditions.
Now settled in Gateshead with her partner, Lily has swapped skyscrapers for her newfound love for the great outdoors, exploring the Lake District, where she’s on a mission to conquer all 214 Wainwright peaks! She is always eager to share her favourite trails and hidden gems with fellow adventurers!
Lily’s passion for travel led her to embark on a fantastic new career path with The Aurora Zone.
Favourite Experiences
- First of our holidays on Lily's wish list is our Wilderness Hotel Inari – Auroras by the Frozen Lake. She thinks this is a great trip because it’s so beautifully scenic, the views of the frozen lake and has all of the winter activities you could want! With the arctic animal experiences being a true highlight.
- Lily also is desperate to try our Northern Lights Village Pyhä – Fellside Aurora Quest! Sleeping in a glass igloo while the Northern Lights come out at night is at the top of Lily’s bucket list! In addition to the husky and reindeer safaris there is also the thrill of snowmobiling and snowshoeing.
