On this tailor-made trip, you get to design your perfect winter holiday. Once you have chosen when you want to travel and for how long (we recommend a minimum stay of three nights), you can choose from a range of winter activities to add to your trip at an additional cost. You can select as many or as few activities as you wish from the extensive range on the 'Personalise Tour' tab and tailor your trip as required. All activities are individually priced, and our Travel Experts can assist you with your selection and will then provide a personalised itinerary quotation for you.
Situated 250 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, Inari's remote location is the ideal base for a winter short break. With untouched wilderness, dark night skies, and snow-laden landscapes, Inari is full of opportunities for Northern Lights hunting and Arctic experiences.
You can choose to spend your days snowmobiling, dog sledding, ice fishing, and learning about the fascinating Sámi culture for the full Finnish experience. At night, we have dedicated Aurora activities to choose from with expert local guides. Of course, your prime location also means that if conditions are right, you can simply walk from your hotel to the edge of the frozen lake and look up at Mother Nature's greatest show.

Personalise This Tour
Experience the beautiful wilderness on this snowshoe walk in search of the Northern Lights. You’ll meet with your local guide who will show you how to use your pair of snowshoes to walk easily across the snowy trails. Moving silently into the forest, you’ll reach a campfire where you’ll enjoy warm drinks and look to the skies for signs of the Aurora. You will be out for approximately 3 hours.
Duration: 3 hours
Spend the day outdoors and try ice fishing in the traditional Finnish way. Meeting with your local guide, you’ll take a snowmobile sleigh ride to the best ice fishing spots. You’ll learn how to make a hole through the ice and then try winter fishing for yourself. You’ll also enjoy open lunch by the open fire and warm drinks.
Duration: 4 hours
Meet Lapland’s favourite animals during your visit to the reindeer farm. You’ll meet with a local reindeer herder who will introduce you to his reindeer and tell you all about the life of a herder and the Sámi culture.

Spend the day outdoors and try ice fishing in the traditional Finnish way. Meeting with your local guide, you’ll take a snowmobile sleigh ride to the best ice fishing spots. You’ll learn how to make a hole through the ice and then try winter fishing for yourself. You’ll also enjoy open lunch by the open fire and warm drinks. You will be out for approximately 4 hours.
Ride through the wintery wilderness in style as you learn how to snowmobile. Your local guide will give you instructions on how to drive your snowmobile before you set off for the snowy tracks and into the beautiful surrounding nature. You’ll be out for approximately 4 hours and will stop for lunch by the open fire. Please note, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license to drive a snowmobile.

As the Sámi capital of Finland, your time in Inari wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Sámi Museum and Nature Centre to learn more about the culture and northern nature.
Starting from the hotel, you’ll walk 1km by the side of the beautiful river Juutua to the museum. You will get familiar with the rich and varied history of the Sámi people and their role in modern-day Lapland. You’ll also gain an understanding of all 8 seasons of Lapland and see the wonders of Arctic Nature. Finish your visit with a stop in the gift shop selling handmade products to take back home as souvenirs or presents.

Meeting with your local guide, you’ll sit comfortably in a sleigh as your guide pulls you along on their snowmobile. Keep your eyes looking at the dark night skies as you make your way to the camp where a campfire awaits. Here, you’ll enjoy a hot drink while your guide tells you stories about the Aurora. If the conditions are right, you’ll be in one of the top places in the world to see the Northern Lights.
Duration: 3 hours (approximately)

Meeting with your local guide, you’ll drive to a camp spot further into the wilderness where you’ll enjoy warm drinks and snacks. Here, you’ll listen to stories about the Northern Lights as you search the skies for the green dancing lights.

Payment and Cancellation Terms:
Please note that the following cancellation terms supersede in part those mentioned in Section 7 of our general booking terms and conditions.
If you are travelling between, and including, the dates of 15.12-06.01, the following cancellation terms apply:
– Prior to 25.09 – Loss of deposit (including the full cost of the flights or other services where paid at the time of booking)
– 26.09 up until departure date – 100%
For all other travel dates, the following cancellation terms apply:
– Up to balance due date (this is normally 16 weeks prior to departure however some holidays differ. If this applies to your holiday you will be advised at the time of booking) – Loss of deposit (including the full cost of flights or other services where paid at the time of booking)
– Between balance due date and 43 days prior to departure – 60%
– 42 to 16 days prior to departure – 85%
– 15 or less days – 100%
