Itinerary

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a driver in Svolvær Airport’s arrival hall and escorted to your harbourside accommodation, Scandic Svolvær. The hotel boasts outstanding panoramic views and is the perfect base for guests exploring the Lofoten Islands. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the town centre, located a convenient 150 metres away, and enjoy dinner in one of the many restaurants. Set yourself up for the day ahead by indulging in the plentiful buffet breakfast. Expect a wide selection of healthy and delicious choices. This morning, your experienced guide will lead you on a safari through the magical Trollfjord. Surrounded by striking mountains rising 1000 metres from the ocean, Trollfjord is one of Norway’s most famous fjords and if you look closely, you can distinguish the outline of a troll in the crag wall. Your guide will share fascinating stories and local knowledge, helping you to identify wildlife. There’s a high possibility that you will experiences sea eagles at close range! The safari will last around two hours. 
 
This evening, your guide will take you to the best viewpoint to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights according to the evening’s forecast. It’s likely you will visit the north side of Lofoten as there is minimal light pollution and a stretching horizon; the perfect combination for excellent aurora hunting conditions. During the journey, you’ll become familiar with the island and discover what it’s like to live in Lofoten. Your guide will share expert tips and techniques for capturing the Northern Lights on camera. Hopefully, the lights will make an appearance so you can put your new skills into practice as they dance across the star-studded sky. Lasting around three hours and forty-five minutes, you’ll have plenty of time to await their arrival. In addition, your guide will be happy to send photos they have taken after the tour.

Today, the choice is yours dependent on your appetite for adventure. For guests who want to get up close with nature and stretch their legs in the pristine wilderness, we recommend the Snowshoe Nature Explorer excursion. Snowshoeing is suitable for all abilities and a great way to experience the stunning landscape of the Lofotens. Before venturing out, your guide will fit you with the correct snowshoes and poles and then drive you via minibus to the best location to experience the magical winter light of Lofoten.

This six-hour guided sightseeing tour showcases the best of the Lofoten Islands from the cultural richness of Kabelvåg to the untouched serenity of?Gimsøya.
Your guide will explain the day’s weather forecast and plan the optimum route accordingly. Relax onboard the comfortable minibus and soak up the impressive views as your professional driver escorts you between stops. Highlights include Lofoten Cathedral in Kabelvåg, Haukland beach, Unstad beach and the idyllic town of Henningsvær.
The Lofoten Islands are a destination brimming with surprising attractions; discover the home of the northernmost surf contest in the world and the world’s most unique football field.
