Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a driver in Svolvær Airport’s arrival hall and escorted to your harbourside accommodation, Scandic Svolvær. The hotel boasts outstanding panoramic views and is the perfect base for guests exploring the Lofoten Islands. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the town centre, located a convenient 150 metres away, and enjoy dinner in one of the many restaurants. This morning, your experienced guide will lead you on a safari through the magical Trollfjord. It’s likely you will visit the north side of Lofoten as there is minimal light pollution and a stretching horizon; the perfect combination for excellent aurora hunting conditions. During the journey, you’ll become familiar with the island and discover what it’s like to live in Lofoten. Your guide will share expert tips and techniques for capturing the Northern Lights on camera. Hopefully, the lights will make an appearance so you can put your new skills into practice as they dance across the star-studded sky. Lasting around three hours and forty-five minutes, you’ll have plenty of time to await their arrival. In addition, your guide will be happy to send photos they have taken after the tour.
