If you are making your own way by car to an airport then this can be a very cost effective thing to do. It certainly can save on taxi fares. It is also a great feeling to be able to bypass the taxi rank on your return and head straight to your own car.
Airports will generally offer some onsite and offsite parking options, either run by the airport operator or a parking company. The offsite car parks often include shuttle bus transfers to the terminals.
Please make sure that you are aware of how much time you need to leave to get from any car park to the check in desk in sufficient time.

Whilst many airports are improving quite rapidly the terminals can still be hectic and you may prefer to start your holiday in calmer surroundings; a lounge is a great option.

We can provide you with access to the wonderful No 1 Lounge facilities at Heathrow Terminal 3 and in both terminals at Gatwick.
Heathrow Terminal 3
The lounge in T3 is one of the flagship lounges. Guests can enjoy a bistro style meal, a glass of wine or even a game of pool in the games room! There are even massages which can be arranged for an additional fee.
There are lovely seating areas, exceptional views of the runway along with a fully tended bar and freshly prepared food to sample. Champagne packages can also be arranged in advance.
Complimentary wireless internet is available along with newspapers and magazines. There is even a cinema if you want to catch a classic movie before you fly.
If you are flying in from overseas on a connecting flight, and you have a long connecting in Heathrow, then you may wish to consider one of the en suite bedrooms for an extended period of time.
Gatwick North Terminal
In this lounge you will find a variety of comfortable lounge areas, a cinema, games room and business centre. There is also a travel spa should you wish to pamper yourself (charges apply).
The nice thing about this lounge is that you get access to a garden area to enjoy some fresh air before you fly.
There is free Wi-Fi here as well as a currency exchange desk.
The lounge offers a range of light hot and cold dishes which will be prepared to order.
Gatwick South Terminal
In the South terminal you can enjoy the bar and bistro facilities as well as the comfortable seating areas. There is even a 16 foot tall living garden which brings the outdoors in to the airport!
There is a bureau de change, table football, free Wi-Fi and a selection of magazines and papers available.
A light selection of hot and cold meals are made to order and there is of course a fully tended bar.
