For some obscure reason, Finland is often overlooked as a Northern Lights destination. Don’t be fooled, the Finns see just as many Auroras as any of their Scandinavian neighbours.
Northern Sweden sits bang in the middle of Scandinavia’s Auroral Zone and with very few urban centres light pollution is minimal. Those pitch-black skies are ideal for witnessing the shimmering Aurora.
You might need another holiday after visiting Iceland. Adventures in geology and geography entertain by day and the Aurora is the focus once darkness falls. It’s rewardingly exhausting!
