One of your female guides was unbelievable with her knowledge and enthusiasm. The rest of the staff whose names I cannot remember from the restaurant/lodge were all brilliant.

Marti and Sophie were particularly knowledgeable, kind and helpful. The chef (sorry, we can't remember her name) was fantastic. All meals were great. The visit to the reindeer farm, I hadn't expected to be that interested but sitting around the camp fire, listening to Juha was both interesting and enjoyable. It was wonderful to go back to basics in the way that he made coffee over and open fire.  We really enjoyed the additional use of sledges, skis, sauna and snow shoes during our free time. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff at the hotel.

We had wanted to go to Lapland as a family for many years. After much research we decided to go with the Aurora Zone to Nellim in Finland. We could not have chosen a better company to go with. From start to finish every aspect of our holiday was simply fabulous. We could not fault the accommodation, food or activities. Even the Northern lights put on a fantastic display for us on two of our four nights. We would thoroughly recommend the aurora zone and the Wilderness Hotel Nellim. Our family of two adults and two teenage children all found the husky safari the most enjoyable activity. We all love dogs and had a wonderful experience being pulled on sledges over frozen lakes and through woodland. We all had a fantastic time and do not feel that this experience could have been improved for us. Since returning to the UK we have recommended the aurora zone to family and friends as an excellent travel company to book with. Thank you for helping to make our holiday such a memorable one. The Northern Lights were fabulous and easily viewable right from the hotel. However they became truly special when taken out via snowmobile to an aurora camp in the woods far from any light pollution. We know that there can be no guarantee regarding this display, but if you are going to see it anywhere then this is a great place to try.

Food selection and quality was excellent! Our favourites were huskies closely followed by snowmobiles. Hadn’t done either of these before. Guides were excellent well organised knowledgeable and friendly. Campfires and refreshments are great. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. 

I believe the husky sledding was the most enjoyable...it was both interactive with the husky's and also the whole quietness allowed you to chat with your partner as you went along thus sharing the experience more thoroughly. The interaction with the huskys was also great as it showed how well they were looked after by both the condition of their coats but also the sociability with us. i think the snowmobile ride at -30 degrees celcius.... this holiday surpassed our expectations...we had a lot of fun and freely used the cross country skis and snowshoes at every opportunity...we were busy from 8 in the morning through til 1-2am and luckily met two other like minded couples. I have shared your website now with many of our friends and my facebook account was 'hot' with everyone following our experiences throughout the week...such an awesome experience and we will definitely love to go again and experience some of the other variations that are available and also experience some of your other experiences around the globe... thank you so much.

Can I just say this holiday excelled in my expectations. Thankyou Aurora Zone.

I really cannot fault your administration and the holiday itself. It was a pleasure to travel with your company and the holiday exceeded our expectations. Hotel Korpikartano is a gem and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere there. The lack of light pollution and no traffic noise was a novelty!

Great guides, perfectly organised .. and the hotel and location was really really beautiful. Seeing the aurora was the most enjoyable aspect .. I guess .. but our review would not be very different if this natural spectacle had not appeared .. We had a great trip all round and everything was done to make it feel special.

All were once in a lifetime experiences and were out of this world . We recommend all of them. Paying extra to sleep in an aurora hut on a frozen lake, under the stars was something very special that not many people can say they have experienced and enjoyed.  We loved the husky sledging experience itself. The dogs, the sleigh riding, the guides, and landscape were fabulous. We thoroughly recommend this holiday. We saw the aurora 3 out of 4 nights which made a dream trip even more memorable. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

"A Christmas present from my husband to stay at the Muotka Wilderness Hotel for two days over the Valentine Weekend. It could not have been a more magical experience - absolutely loved it and one of the best short holidays that I have been on! From the moment we arrived at Ivalo airport we were treated wonderfully by the hotel's staff and nothing was too much trouble. Our log cabin with its glass roof allowed us to take in the beautiful scenery of northern Lapland with all of its many pine trees nestled in the snow, dark sparkly skies, whilst of course, we hunted for the Northern Lights. The main hotel was so warm, inviting and homely and the buffet food was absolutely scrumptious and always so enjoyed at breakfast and after full days of activities with snowmobiles, huskies, cross country skiing and a trip to the reindeer park. Never a dull moment, the Aurora organisers managed to pack in so much into two days, and yet we felt calm and very relaxed away from the world. Would highly recommend anyone wanting special adventures in a very special place. Thank you! 

The provisions for equipment was excellent. I loved all activities and the guides were excellent in every aspect. The guides and staff at Nellim were terrific. They were so genuine and loved their jobs which made all activities enjoyable.

Fabulous holiday! We loved going out with the huskies. Loved the fact that you had your own team of dogs!

Our holiday was amazing from the minute we stepped off the plane. Everyone at both locations were so helpful. Lowryt took us ice fishing one morning and then snowmobiling in the afternoon and then made time to cook a fish I had caught and shared it with us; that just made our day! He was amazing and also a big shout out to Maria. Everything was very well organised and the guides were constantly checking we were ok and not too cold. The food was very nice and plentiful. The Aurora Dome was a fabulous experience and our log cabin overlooking the frozen river was very comfortable. I could go on and on about this holiday - it was truly magical. It is very hard to pick a favourite moment but I really enjoyed driving the huskies, we did a night trip and a day one. For my husband, he really enjoyed the snowmobiling. We were very lucky to see the Northern Lights, however even if we hadn’t, this has been the most amazing holiday which will be hard to top.

I think this is the first time I have ever rated anything 'Excellent' for every single category - but it really was! Everything was brilliant from the patient knowledgeable guides, lovely warm hotel with cute little nooks to snuggle into, absolutely delicious food (I will be dreaming about that salmon soup forever), to the activities themselves. Husky sledding was fantastic and something I definitely want to do again, and the morning with the reindeer herder was probably a once in a lifetime experience that will stay locked in my memory forever. Thank you to everyone involved in making this such a special holiday. The reindeer herder was such a unique and authentic experience. We really felt like we were being whisked away into another world into the arctic wilderness. We had also a very special light that morning that glowed pink and yellow which added to the magical ambience. Our time with the herder felt very intimate and real, not rushed at all. And of course the reindeer are simply beautiful.

A truly excellent experience. Clearly, seeing the Northern Lights is the highlight, but the other activities created a well-rounded and hugely enjoyable holiday. Snowmobiling was extremely popular with my family, but we enjoyed each activity very much.

I didn't have any great expectation of seeing the Northern Lights before I went away, as I thought that the activities would more than make up for not seeing them, but, to our delight, they put on a small show for us on the evening of Day 3! Thank you so much for a fabulous five days. Everything went above and beyond my expectation.

We were all extremely impressed with every aspect of the holiday. Everything ran very smoothly and was extremely well organised. The equipment and clothing we were loaned was of very high quality, comfortable and clean. We really needn't have bought anything. All the guides and reps were lovely and very informative. Couldn't fault the food, the price of drinks or the facilities at the hotel.

Everything from the transfers to the hotel to the mealtimes to the activities was organised smoothly and efficiently. The local guides were fantastic, so knowledgeable and friendly!  I enjoyed either the husky sledding or snowmobiles the most. It was such an incredible experience to be riding/driving across vast expanses of open snowy areas, with nobody other than your group around, total “pinch me” moment!

Stunning scenery, awesome dogs AND they had puppies! We also loved our snowmobile tryout (ended up being just the two of us and a guide) and the Aurora Camp.

The husky sled ride was a perfect ride with the guy driving so in tune with his dogs; a truly unique experience.

All of the activities were superb and yes - we got to see the most wonderful Aurora display on our first night!

The whole experience was excellent from start to finish, all activities were amazing but the favourite was the husky safari.

We will definitely be telling everyone! We loved the huskies - great to be out in the wilderness and the dogs stole our hearts. Also loved the snowmobiling where we actually saw the Northern lights. There wasn't anything we didn't enjoy.
